Support SILC-TN and the Independent Living Movement in Tennessee

At SILC-TN, we believe that every person with a disability deserves the right to live independently, with dignity, choice, and full participation in their community. Our mission is to promote the philosophy of Independent Living (IL) across Tennessee by supporting consumer control, peer support, self-help, self-determination, equal access, and individual and system advocacy.

Your donation helps us bring this mission to life.

By contributing to SILC-TN, you’re investing in a future where disabled Tennesseans lead the way in shaping policy, building inclusive communities, and expanding access to resources statewide. Your support allows us to:

  • Host statewide outreach events that celebrate disability pride and cultural inclusion
  • Provide training and education for board members, youth, families, and community leaders.
  • Strengthen partnerships between IL centers, public agencies, and underserved communities.
  • Amplify the voices of people with disabilities in decision-making spaces
  • Ensure transparency, accessibility, and equity in all aspects of our work.

Every dollar helps us grow the Independent Living network and deepen our impact—from Jackson to Johnson City, Memphis to Mountain City, and everywhere in between.

Join us in building a more just, inclusive Tennessee.

Your donation plants the seeds for lasting change, led by lived experience and community power.
