​1. State Plan for Independent Living Committee—SPIL Committee

Objective: Accountable for the consistent oversight of the State Plan for Independent Living objectives. This role will involve collaborating with the IL Network to review data, monitor progress, and resolve difficulties. The committee will present any suggestions for modifications and alterations to the council.

​Advancement of Communities and Advocacy Committee

Objective: To evaluate and address community needs, investigate barriers to community living, and collaborate with the IL Network to resolve concerns and challenges. The committee will monitor policy matters and engage in systemic advocacy to further the objectives of SILC and the independent living movement.

TN ​Social Media and Outreach Committee

Objective: To perform outreach and educate both the disability community and the broader public about independent living.

The committee will also be tasked with recruiting prospective SILC members and engaging individuals with disabilities regarding their potential interest in membership in the SILCTN and our mission.

​The Committee will help oversee the main social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Facebook, interact with the content, and offer suggestions to the social media manager.
